Certified Organic* Pasture Raised Chickens
A limited number of chickens for meat will be raised during the growing season. You can read about the quality of our chickens from reviews on Facebook and Yelp. We have decided to lower our price, not because we need to sell but because we are striving to make Organic meat more affordable for everyone.  Whole chickens $5.00/lb. averaging between 3 and 5 pounds will require a deposit of $10.00 each with the remaining due at pick up. Pre packaged chickens $6.00/lb must be purchased in 6 chicken increments and you will receive 6 packages of breasts (2 in each), and 2 packages of thighs, drumsticks, and wings (6 in each). Deposit for pre packaged chickens is $60.00 with the remaining due at pick up. Order now for June delivery.

*Our chickens are certified organic up until butchering. This means that they are pastured outdoors in the natural sunlight and moved daily. They are fed certified organic grain along with what they forage naturally. There are no certified organic butchers in all of New England (if you find one for poultry - let us know).Certified Organic butchering is required to ensure that there is no co-mingling of conventional meat with the organic meat. Since we are unable to secure a certified organic butcher, we use our tried and true butcher who has been putting our birds first on the line to also ensure no co-mingling however we can not call them "certified organic" on the label.

Certified Organic* - Side of pork
1/2 of a pig will yield about 70 pounds of actual cuts. There are other wonderful pieces of pork such as ham hocks or fat that are available in addition to the cuts which is included in the hanging weight. Our pigs are certified organic up until the point of butchering. Certified Organic butchering is available for an additional $75.00 charge. Smoking bacon and hams along with sausage will incur additional charges. The base price without any add-ons is $5.50 lb hanging weight and most sides will be around 100 lbs. Order now for delivery in April (almost sold out - order fast!) or May.
